2025-06-26 01:55:28 +0000 UTCOn rewatches, I realized how brilliant it was to start the movie with that commercial for the Perpetual Pet, something that would clearly never actually be a success, and if someone was stupid enough to make it, it still wouldn't be advertised alongside a dead dog. So it's established right away that the movie is set in some parallel world with just very minor differences to ours that can add up to something like this.
