Lady is my second favorite Playtest character. I played her in The Mud Sorcerer's Tomb, which was a really badly planned encounter, like When the Pcs enter it, the dungeon closes itself off and you can only open the entrance after a year, meaning if some PCs would die, you'd be hard pressed to get new PCs in to the dungeon. And that dungeon was very... Gygax-y.

And that's what happened. Astrid put on a magical necklace, which turned out to be a Necklace of Strangulation (no way of detecting it until someone adorned it), and only three things could remove it: Remove Curse, Wish or Miracle.

No character had Remove Curse, Wish was too high level and Miracle didn't exist in the playtest. So, she was left behind with the Cleric (which didn't ave remove curse prepared) since the player was absent. I had to play another character that had been there for a year, trapped inside a 10 by 10 foot room. A big burly axe wielding Fighter with a Bag of Holding, not a nice gesture by the DM, mind you. The Bag of Holding was to explain where all the poop where after his 1 year imprisonment inside a small room, the door got locked and the character was too dumb to unlock it.

End of the adventure the group did find a item that could remove the cursed necklace, so she survived in the end. But I never got to play her further.
