“I hope you do not mind the modification,†Leonidas said. “This will simply be more convenient. I do not always have hands with which to carry a shield, after all.â€
The smith gaped for a moment before throwing his hands up in the air. “Nope! Nope, that’s fine! Just use magic to turn a shield into some bracers. It’s not like that would take me hours, if not days. Nope, doesn’t bother me one bit.â€
“Apologies, Fenli,†Dola said, hiding a small smile behind her hand.
“If it helps, your craftsmanship is remarkable,†Leonidas said apologetically. “These would not turned out nearly as well if the original material had not been impeccable.â€
“Alright, alright. Don’t coddle me,†Fenli grumbled.
