Jessika's Diary #14 - June Development Update
Added 2020-06-22 13:15:06 +0000 UTCHello everyone, and welcome to the latest development diary for Jessika’s Curse. While we have been a little quiet lately, a lot has been going on behind the scenes, and we will be talking about that today.
Starting off with what most people are interested in, we are not far away from releasing the next build now. Jr. X has been working full time programming the new features, as well as improving existing code, and fixing issues. The big things he has done since last time is to implement a proper quest system to track and display quests, as well as heavily modified the inventory system to add additional functionality.
On the art side, Sommelier has been continuing to work hard at pumping out the remaining assets needed for the next release. Doing thirty plus animations alone is a gargantuan task for anybody, but he has been doing an excellent job. We have new stuff to show the backers on this front, which I will start sharing from tomorrow, including three completed animations, and there’s more to come in the very near future.
“What’s left to be done before release?”, I hear you ask. Well, Jr X. is currently working on implementing the new curios, and once that is finished, he will move on to adding new video effects, and finally cleaning code. All sex sprites are now done, and Sommy is currently busy trying to finish the last of the animations as fast as possible, so they can be added to the game. Once those tasks are finished, we will have to spend some time testing and balancing, to ensure the game plays well with as few bugs as possible.
So, rest assured while things have been quiet lately, everybody here is still working hard on the game, trying to getting it to you as soon as possible. It is an ambitious project, and we want this release to go a bit more smoothly than the last, so we are putting the extra effort into getting it right.
