Frieren: Episodes 18-19 Reaction (UNCUT)

I loved seeing Frieren being all strategy oriented and working together with her group in such a calm way...I would have lost my patience LOL. But damn, this examination doesn't mess around...It's fight or be killed out there π

Oh yeah, Fern probably caught the stille. Ever since those seed rats back at the beginning we've seen her attracting animals from cute cats to even cuter giant tortoises lol. She just seems to have a way with animals.

I was worried they may cause trouble for Fern or somehow put her up against Frieren in a way she wouldn't like. I also really hope that isn't foreshadowing, but i'm also very intrigued to learn more about that... This show always picks your brain haha i love it!

I really love some of these newly introduced characters. Kanne and Lawine, Frieren's teammates, are adorable (I think they find each other adorable, too), but Uwel is scary. Kraft said she has the eyes of a killer when she was introduced. She seemed to be ambushing those bandits, having recently used magic to "tear apart" some other bandits in the woods nearby, and she failed her second class mage exam because she killed the first class mage who was proctoring?! She's trouble and a half! My heart sank when I saw Fern was in her party. I hope the conversation about Frieren having previously lost to mages with less mana was not any kind of foreshadowing. I love this episode but it's very worrying as well. Some of the other new mages are cool, too, but I'll let them be introduced in the show before saying anything about them. I'm not in the habit of spoiling anything. When I write anything about my thoughts on the story or characters I'm careful to write only what I was thinking when I first watched the episode. I knew no more than you then.
