ahhh well welcome welcome! :D I'll need to keep an eye out for those differences in the quality, but i do notice the facial expressions quite a lot. I just finished watching episode 6 and MaoMao giving her warning to the food taster was SO well delivered. I love that side of her, and I can't wait to see more of that!

One thing I noticed is the quality of the art seemed different. Line work seemed lower quality but the actual animation was great! A lot of subtleties in gestures and facial animation. In the scene after the slap heard round the world you can see this slight change in her demeanor going from anger to sorrow. The lady-in-waiting didn't mean any malice but didn't understand and I think Maomao could sense her sorrowfulness when she realized what she had been doing with the powder. It's only a fraction of a second (about 9:20-21 in your video) but just small details like that with this episode that really got me hooked on the series. And the slap.
