Maomao knows Meimei always had a crush on Lakan from when they played board games and figured if Lakan chose Meimei then Meimei would be well taken care of by Lakan. That's the aging courtesan Maomao meant at the setting of the rules for the chess game. 18:40 If the nail bed is not cut off or treated, in some cases it can grow back. Jinshi got headbutting practice from that time she greeted him with that big smile and he had to headbutt the post to settle down.

2025-01-14 22:00:46 +0000 UTCThe exact same thing happened when I binged One Piece for 6 months then had to wait a week to watch the next episode LOL. I realllyyyyyyy loved seeing them two together, it felt like earlier how it was just them and nothing else mattered around them. They really portrayed Lakan in this unusual way but he ended up captivating our hearts a little in the end, despite Maomao's stoic reaction to it all... When it comes to Season 1 content I don't mind anything spoilers because I love learning about what I missed in my first watch through and since I'm not reading the manga I'm an anime-only girly right now. Even reading comments on YT always makes me rethink my entire approach to an episode or a character because of certain details I may have missed which is CRAZY. There's so much I've probably missed out while watching since there's so much dialogue that sometimes in trying to keep up with everything I overlook other important parts. I've noticed there's so many things that are said to explain what's happening but almost in code LOL or given in small tidbits that it's up to us to decipher the meaning of it.

This and Frieren are two of my favorite shows in recent memory, easy top 10 of all time for me, and they both got to air at the same time. What are the chances? I'm a little jealous you got to binge this show as a first time viewer. Now I feel a little sad you'll start having to wait weekly like the rest of us. The whole scene in the room with Lakan and Fengxian always gets me a little emotional when we see how Lakan still sees her. His condition has its drawbacks, obviously, but in that case it's the best case scenario. There's apparently more to Meimei's reaction in other media but since it wasn't explicitly mentioned in the anime version I won't say it in case it might be considered spoilery. There's actually something in the last two episodes I finally picked up on that I don't recall is explicitly spelled out about Granny. Because of that it might also be considered spoilerly so I won't say it unless you'd like to know what I'm thinking.
