Taking total control over the game was needed for the in-game. It means that, once the JDMOD is installed, you're no longer playing the original version of the game ; you're playing the modded version.
Unfortunately, it causes compatibility issues between original and modded saves:
- You might have noticed that the in-game guide isn't available after loading an original save ;
- Also, unless the JDMOD is installed, modded saves aren't loadable. The version used for the mod hardly matters, you can even transfer the JDMOD folder from the last time you played.
I wish I had found a solution by now. I believed I could modify the way Ren'Py loads saves but, after looking into, it won't work for me. I'm currently working on multiple improvements that'll be included in 0.4ALPHA.
Speaking of 0.4ALPHA, do not worry: as soon as you reach the end of Chapter 3, the version automatically switches to the original one.
