And now, thanks to this video by The Skeleton Crew using the original shooting script, we have a little bit more of an idea of what that version of the film might have looked like. Those both sound fascinating! I feel like Frankenstein comics is an area where I'm very deficient. I'm pretty familiar with DC's Frankenstein, and I've read a few other odds and ends, but I need to dig in deeper. We'll have to do some more comic discussions soon.

I can’t think of any film examples but there’s a couple of comic/graphic novel examples. The Hidden by Richard Sala for an evil Monster scientist, and Doc Frankenstein by the Wachowskis and Steve Skroce for a pulp hero style super scientist. Both great comics with wildly different art styles and tones.
