Frankenbook Club: H.P. Lovecraft - Herbert West: Reanimator
Added 2023-01-02 22:59:00 +0000 UTCMonths after doing all the films on the main feed, we're finally talking about the short story that inspired them all. It's unspeakably weird and unbelievably racist, as we've all come to expect from H.P. Lovecraft. But it's still worth a read, especially if you're a fan of the films. Just be prepared for some truly hateful stuff in part 3. Oh, Howard, can't you just write nice, friendly cosmic horror? Why do you have to be a bigger monster than Yog-Sothoth?

Interesting! Eric is definitely more familiar with Lovecraft stuff than I am, so I'm glad I caught that. I would definitely be interested in seeing more queer analysis of Lovecraft and his works. And I'm definitely curious to check that Alan Moore book out. Anything from him is going to be fascinating.
