The first anniversary top ten countdown continues! These are our favorite ten comics of the first year. Coming in at #3 is comic #145, "Rainy Day."

This gag was inspired by some pencil art that my partner created early in the development of the latest visual style. It was such a fun and dynamic scene, so I decided to write a script around it. Rather than just having her play outside in the rain, I thought it would be more interesting for her to be coaxed into it by one of her parents. Because she is so young, she often reacts to situations without thinking and reflecting. This is one of those instances. She had it in her mind to go outside and play, but her first reaction to seeing the pouring rain was that her plans were ruined. Dad simply reminded her that she doesn't mind getting wet, and off she went on another adventure, much to the chagrin of Unicorn. I thought that my partner did an incredible job of bringing this one to life. That third panel perfectly captures the spirit of Stuffed and is one of my favorites of the entire archive.
