Recap of things done & Modding Plans for 2022

Now, I can finally talk about the modding plans as I have finished overhauling my site and the Patreon pages to showcase the mod info properly.
I was chatting with some of you on Discord Server and I think it's good to open a post here too to discuss the schedules and ideas. π
First, thank you all for supporting me over the past half-year when I wasn't in a good state of health. π I am very lucky to have the love from you guys allowing me to take a break from the traits pack and to explore doing new types of mods, e.g. Genetics, Custom Preferences, Assigning Traits, Injecting a buff to all Sims globally, and CCs that I haven't tried before. I am feeling much better now and also learned the techniques that I would like to apply to my upcoming projects.
Second, as I was testing some WIPs, I found some adjustments in mod plans to be made. I have discarded some ideas due to mod conflicts with other creators but also added new ones with the inspiration from those mods I have done lately.
Third, I have been talking to many other modders like Midiar, Snowiii, Helaene, Eunola, etc. to see if we have conflicting modding plans and if we can do any collaborations. For now and in the upcoming months, I would focus on polishing my mods and traits packs and make sure they won't conflict with the other's mods or WIPs.
Within the next three months, I would like to finish the mods I proposed last year, aka Skill Decay and Big Five Personality/ Sims-2-Style personality system. Since the preferences system was out and I was experimenting with custom preferences, I decided to move the Big Five to the preferences category so that you can multi-pick them in CAS.
And for 100 Base Game Traits, I'm going to wrap it up by remaking reward versions for the rest of the parts during the summer holidays when I get a term break from school. I will make one early access post for it after they are all done and no more multiple confusing downloading pages.
Afterward, I will still do bug fixes, keep up with patches, add minor features to the existing 120+ traits in the pack but I won't add additional traits to the pack. Feel free to suggest new traits to me on Discord Server before I finalize the pack. I don't necessarily take requests but I'm open to adding a few more that are for base-game and not overlapping with the existing ones.
After some testing, I've decided to remove the current testing social interactions from V2 in the final version of the pack because it makes the game run super slow for cloning many interactions. I will, however, add trait-inclusive interactions in a separate mod later so that you can decide if you want to install them in your game based on what PC/laptop you are using.
As I was messing with genetics and the age up mods lately, I've learned that I need to do that to particularly reward traits, not CAS traits, so I need to do reward versions with new exclusive IDs to prevent any technical issues in doing genetics/randomizer/assigning/preferences for my custom traits.
For now, I would save the specific plans for the second half-year to see how the progress is. But you can take a look at My Trello Board of Modding Development if you would like to view all ideas in lists. π
