Project Updates Jan 6

Happy New Year everyone! Hopefully this year ends up being better than last year.

Anyway, I've made some progress on all of the projects in the past couple of weeks and wanted to share.

A Perfect Ten

Of course, I have to start with the main project. It's getting pretty close to a first release. I've finished all of the renders that will be in the game, and will be previewing some in a Dolphin ($3+ tier) post tomorrow.

At this point, all I need to do is finish putting the scenes in the game. I still have about a week and a half off, but I'm currently moving. I'm hoping to get the initial release done by the end of the month, but I can't promise anything. What I can do, is reveal another area and aspect of the game.

I'm really happy that this was able to make it into the game. If you read the history post, you'll know this is an aspect that I originally scrapped when I switched to DAZ. In the Redlight District, there's a Cosplay Cafe. You'll be able to spend time with cosplayers, and be able to earn their costumes for Angela to use. What makes this different than the outfits you buy, and those inspired by certain characters, is that they're accurate versions of the character outfits. For example, here's the "Tomb Adventurer" cosplayer that will be in the first version of the game.

When going to the cosplay cafe, you'll be able to raise your charm stat. Which you'll need to unlock various other areas/outfits/a job later in the game. I'm trying to avoid boring stat grinding and being able to just over-level and break the game, to make the whole experience more fluid rather than just a bunch of boring grinding followed by all of the content at once. So each different cosplayer will only raise it a specific amount. Each cosplayer will have two scenes, and once you've unlocked both of them, you'll unlock the outfit for Angela. Which will work just like all of the other outfits. You'll get a unique scene for the outfit, and then be able to dress her up in it for any of the default scenes you've unlocked for Angela. Which means for the "Tomb Adventurer" outfit there will be 3 scenes for Angela in the initial release, and then the two with the cosplayer. And here's Angela in the outfit.

There will be two cosplayers in the first release, but I think it's more fun for there to be some surprises. A lot more will be added in later versions though. I currently have base models done for another 6 (so 8 total), with more planned for down the line. And I'll be doing polls to decide which ones get in first. The first poll will come up for Dolphin+ tier patrons after the first version of the game is released.

Fair warning, the first version of the game may feel a bit light on content as well. I've been setting up the base systems and events, and that's taken up a lot of time. I've been focused on getting a working build out more than anything, so that if there's something wrong with the base systems, people can let me know and I can fix it before I start using these first events as a base for later events and end up making a huge mess. This will make it so it's easier to add more content in each update and ensure less time is wasted overall.

That being said, in the initial version there's going to be 6 side characters with 2 H scenes each (except Stacy who has 3). Angela will have 2 main events, which unlock 2 scenes that can be used with every outfit. Then there will be 9 unlockable outfits for her, which can be worn for the 2 main event scenes once they're unlocked, and they each have a unique scene too. Which brings the total number of scenes to... 40, for the first version. I'm hoping to add at least that many in every update, but we'll have to see what happens. I want to release updates pretty frequently, so I'll be scaling it back if needed to be able to push out more consistent updates. With the base systems in place, it should be relatively quick to add new content though.

Also, I plan on doing every other update as a story and outfit update. So the idea is that the initial release is a story update that gets you all of the stats needed to unlock areas. There will be a little bit to do in the areas in the initial release, but the next update will fill them up with different outfits to buy and unlock. Then after that there will be another story part added for Angela, another tier of stat women, and/or job story content, etc. We'll see what happens though.

That's all there is on A Perfect Ten. Unless something horrible happens, next time I talk about it will be once the initial version is complete (aside from the preview tomorrow). I hope you'll look forward to it!

CH Resort

Now for CH Resort.

I've finished another 8 videos since the last update. Due to Patreon's policies changing, I've had to change things up a bit, and unfortunately I've had to delete the download links for the current version from the Patreon. It was a public release, so you can still find the game elsewhere though.
In the next version, Angel and Jewelz will be replaced by other characters because of the changes. On the bright side, there's going to be a couple new characters earlier on in the new version.

So now there's 21/29 total videos completed for the next update. Just 11 more that need to be done. I got the Christmas party video without beats done, but for whatever reason I can't get the beats to work. Once I figure that out, that one will be done as well. These parties will be longer than the normal videos, so I hope you'll look forward to that.

I think I've said this before, but the next version of CH Resort is planned to be the last. The filesize is just too out of control and Tyranobuilder just isn't working. I've been trying to fix some of the issues with the game, like the random hanging, but I just can't figure out a way to replicate it. So I have no idea what's causing it. I'm assuming it's just Tyranobuilder not being able to handle the large filesize or the way the game is setup. And to be honest, now that Patreon has changed it's policies on real stuff, I've had to scrap the next game I was planning on doing. Since that one was going to be all real. And now I'm just running out of 3D characters haha.
For the next CH game, I'll probably scale it back a bit so that it doesn't get so big. I'll also be looking for a new engine. If I can get it to work in RPG Maker, I'll probably end up using that. I've also found another VN maker that I may try though. The current idea is to make future games around specific themes or franchises, and keep them relatively small. Only having maybe 8-10 characters at most, with only 1-2 videos each. That way the filesize doesn't get out of control and it doesn't take as long to unlock the later characters. I'll work more on that once CH Resort is done though.

Attached is a more updated list of what's being added and what's been completed, for those that don't want to be surprised.

That's all for CH Resort for now. Once the initial version of A Perfect Ten is out, I'm going to try and push out the final CH Resort update as quick as I can. So I'm hoping for a February release, but I can't say for sure.

Teach Me!

I even got a little bit done on Teach Me the past couple of weeks.

I made a new animation and started working on the polish renders for the Halloween party some more. I had to create a lot of different outfits for the background characters, since it is a costume party. It would be really weird if only a couple of characters were in costume. This took a lot longer than I expected, but I'm pretty happy with them. Being background characters, I used other people's models as bases though. So I don't think I'm going to release them. I'll probably release screenshots and say how they were made though, so people can replicate them if they get the original assets.

That's all for Teach Me. Since I said this for the other two, my current goal is to release the final version of Teach Me around the end of March. Once CH Resort is finished, I'll be bumping Teach Me up to the secondary project and spending a bit more time on it. Once again, I can't make any promises though. Especially for this project, since it's the one I'm the most flexible with when it comes to when I work on it.

VaM Content

Last, but not least, I've been working on some new VaM looks. One will be releasing this weekend, and I'm working on releasing another scene pack later in the month. There's also going to be at least one more look this month as well.

These Posts Are Long

That's all for now. I'm really going to try and do as much as work as possible in the next couple of weeks, because after that I'm going to be really busy for a while. I'll still be working on projects, but I wont be able to dedicate as much time to them. That's why I'm hoping to be done with both CH Resort and Teach Me by the end of March. That way I wont have so many projects going all at once. I don't plan on replacing Teach Me with anything right away, since the VaM projects are by far the least popular of my projects. I may come back and finish the series once I have more time though. I was originally planning on making 4 games, but I may just do 3 now.

Anyway, that's all for real this time.

Until next time.
