Food Order
Added 2022-01-19 05:41:07 +0000 UTCWhile most of my comics are either word-for-word recreations of a real incident, or slightly amplified for cartoonish effect, this one's actually milder than the actual incident:
1. My boyfriend had made the food order on his phone before leaving work, sending me the code.
2. I went to sit in the restaurant, waiting to be called out.
3. In the 40 minutes that it took him to get there too, they hadn't finished the order.
4. I ask about the preorder again, and they tell me they never received the order.
5. We realise I never showed them the order code, something I didn't realise I was supposed to do.
6. We sat in the establishment for 20 additional minutes, waiting for our food.

2022-01-23 22:37:49 +0000 UTCIt’s not only you. We ordered takeout from a fast food restaurant on Sunday for the first time using an app on my husband’s iPad. I went to pick it up without realising that the order is only sent when the device used to place it is in range of the restaurant.
