There's not a great alternative (as far as I know), and there is a *whooooole* community looking for a better word (salmacian, though that too has been argued as both a good and bad term... words are hard.) I do wanna make it clear, as both a trans woman and someone born intersex, I've *rarely* heard the term used as an insult for trans people, and way more often heard it as an insult for intersex. To be clear, I have de la Chapelle syndrome, so I've only heard it in response to comments against the community, not personally. I guess my point is, idk what a better term is, and I wanna hear options.
