Our first ever album reaction together and I'm SO excited because this one was a freaking GOODIE! The way this entire album flowed and showed off so many of BGTS strengths was just ICONIC and I might not have been Army at all back then but I know this album must have taken the charts by storm!!
I don't want to give away too much of my reaction but "I Like It" is 100% my fave song on this album and I AM SHRIMPING SO HARD RIGHT NOW HAH!

It's really hard to choose favorites but for this album I think my favorite is We Are Bulletproof pt.2 and then Like and No more Dream (and yes, WE ARE ALL obsessed with that Like Hobi verse 😭 It's SO good) Fun fact: When I feel sad I usually like to listen to sad songs to feel sadder or vent all out to feel better and cam, but when I really want to feel better or happier I listen to Circle Room Cypher 😂 they killed it but It's just hilarious too

We usually just right rpwp for "Right Person, Wrong Place" but I remember keep changing the "place" and "person" bc i didn't know which one was the right or the wrong 😭 Now I of course get it but I find funny how you out of nowhere keep mentioning "time" and that always suddenly throw me off lol

And also because they debuted not as pretty boys singing about love and bubblegum pop but dark, hip hop, and rebellious against South Korea's harsh education system.

I can't wait until you get to the more vocal line heavy songs. I enjoy singing more than rap. But I love BTS raps. But when vocal line gets to go crazy on the songs it's just perfect

I know you get hundreds of comments so I understand that you often can’t keep track of them all. I remember leaving a comment for you after one reaction (maybe to Pied Piper) when you asked for BTS being sexy. The cypher on this debut album was more chill and just the guys playing around freestyle. The cyphers on the next albums are more formal and recorded as actual songs, and they progressively get more structured with hooks and everything.

ARMY was a grassroots movement. BTS worked hard but ARMY had to work hard too just to get the word out. International ARMY noticed them way before the Korean media started to pay attention.

For the most part, people would speak to anyone older with a level of politeness, if not formal. You’re only allowed to switch to casual speech if that older person tells you that you can. To this day, Jungkook speaks to his hyungs politely. Even though Taehyung told him early on that JK can speak to him freely (casually), JK refused because he wanted to maintain a level of politeness with all his hyungs. As he said during In the Soop, he believes it’s easy to destroy a relationship if he starts speaking to anyone older than him too casually. He wasn’t shy just because he spoke formally. He didn’t have to learn to speak causally. All the boys would still speak politely to their hyungs. Even Yoongi who is 3 months younger than Jin would never drop the “hyung” title when speaking to Jin. Koreans would usually only speak casually to same-aged friends and younger friends. So Jimin and Taehyung would be casual with each other and towards to Jungkook. But they too would speak politely to their hyungs. JK coming out of his shell has nothing to do with the level of language he’d speak. Jin has said many times, JK would speak politely to him while slapping him on the back. They’re close now, but JK still uses polite speech with them. Whenever he jokingly calls Yoongi without the “hyung”, we all know it’s with endearment (“YOONGIIIIII!”) Anyway, sorry for my rambling!

2024-11-04 08:11:11 +0000 UTCAlso, I think someone else said this already, but there are 2 hidden songs on this album (On the start line and Path) which you can find youtube videos for but are not mentioned in official tracklists by Big hit because they’re only meant as a surprise for people who buy the cd. (For example, Letter by Jimin which you heard was also a hidden song!) You need to be VERY careful with posting reactions to hidden songs on youtube, Big Hit is pretty strict, so maybe you can make a free patreon post or something? It’s exclusively for rappers so in BTS it’s entirely by rap line with their producer Supreme boi carrying the chorus(sometimes Hobi does too) anyways the BTS Cyphers start with part 1 and there are 4 parts so this one doesn’t count…they just called it that because all of the boys attempt to rap 😅 hope this helped 💜
