As someone who has taken a lot of time in my adult years to understand and nurture my inner child, this song hit close to home!! I love that Taehyung created such a beautiful and impactful song about a topic that I don't see spoken about too much!
The lyrics felt like a message to his younger self just letting him know that everything would turn out okay and MAAN i wish i could go to little peachy and tell her the same thing!!
i loved the concept of the performance as well, super cinematic and well thought out. I wouldn't expect anything less from king tae tae!!

I interpreted the line in the chorus about a specifically c summer day and knocking on ”your” door as like a specific memory where he felt he really changed. This is just a personal interpretation but the song does sound like literally singing to your inner child as if he is a different person, so knocking on ”your” door reads to me as in the day he matured or had to grow up in some ways? That could be either a positive or a negative memory! I personally resonate so much with this song and really appreciate how the lyrics are in some ways a direct representation of reaching out and trying to connect almost two different people within yourself. I think it can be really difficult to even want to connect to your inner child after going through hardships, because it can be really heavy, at least for me. So the way this song talks about how different he has become but also how much he can appreciate all the things about his younger self now that he maybe had to “separate” from to grow and move forward, it gives me hope that i can do the same! Idk if this makes sense, i just love this song and love that you also got emotional just from the title, cause same girl LOL 💜

The vibes are so different from his other BTS solo songs too and he only got to perform it twice :( imagine how great it would have been the MOTS7 tour with all the armys singing their hearts out their songs 😞I remember that Inner child made me cried so much back then 😭 this song is so beautiful and THE LYRICS. Young Taetae was such a smiling and mischievous teen but it must have been hard for him as well back then with all the hard work and hate he received for being poor and part of BTS and he must have been scared for his future. Current and mature Taetae talking to him is everything 😭 Just the thought of me seeing a little or past me and tell her everything will be okay and living it's worth it makes me want to cry again
