Joohee was part of the 3 member group 8eight together with Lee Hyun(who did the manager of bts vid) and another male rapper guy. She isn’t under bighit anymore and isnt really working as a singer anymore! Jeonghee is a soloist and musical actress(?) that also isnt under bighit anymore. Jo Kwon is both a soloist and member of a boygroup called 2AM who mostly do ballads, but he does a lot of dancing in his solo stuff, and some of bts were actually backup dancers to him for some performances pre-debut! Hobi also featured on his song called Animal pre-debut as well! Jo Kwon and Hobi still keep in contact and its really exciting cause JoKwon is one of the really boundary pushing artists in the industry, known for being VERY androgynous and calls himself ”genderless”. Both Jokwon and 2am used to be jointly managed by bighit and JYP entertainment (stray kidz, twice etc company) but now neither are under those labels anymore! But at the time, this was basically the artists that bighit had, as well as a girlgroup called GLAM that disbanded because one of the members were in a scandal after blackmailing one of the most famous actors in south korea who was probably most likely having an extramarital affair with her or one of her friends 😅 Bighit were in hot waters at the time, only a year after bts debuted. Now only Lee hyun is still with bighit and he is basically the closest senior they have! Hyun was in the group 8eight and also a ballad duo called Homme with another of the 2am members (changmin) and they sang a lot of ballads. You have 100% heard the bts members sing a song by 8eight and Homme at some point, and the name Sope is a parody of the name Homme, spelled Om-meu in korean. Sope in korean is spelled So-peu. They first called themselves that when they covered a song by Homme LOL, ur welcome for the deep deep lore!
