On Oct. 26, 2015, Calgary resident Lee Antoni returned home after spending a weekend with his mother in Saskatchewan. Upon entering his house, Lee found his wife Amanda's body lying motionless in the basement in a scene so horrific and bizarre that it's caused quite the debate amongst our own circle.

Totally agree that this last release of Unsolved Mysteries was disappointing. I do not look to this series to revisit well known stories like Jack the Ripper or Mothman. For fans of this kind of content more typical of unsolved I would however like to recommend the series "Who the F* did I marry." Not sure what streaming it is on globally, in Canada it's on Amazon Primevideo.

2024-08-19 18:50:19 +0000 UTCGreat ep! This is such a strange, sad case. Migraines can be extremely debilitating and disorienting, especially if they occur in clusters. It can go on for weeks! Itβs very possible that was the cause, especially if she was already exhausted from feeling poorly for several days already. It makes sense, but there really are so many unanswered questions and weird coincidences, itβs hard to come to a definitive conclusion. No matter what, itβs terribly sad and I feel so bad for her family.

The brains of those of us with a steady diet of horror movies and true crime stories tend to go to extreme places, i.e. your friend cutting out on the phone. You were a smart and caring friend to immediately check on her, but not everyone would anticipate potential danger. The saddest thing to me about this case is that if Lee had had the experience or foresight to send someone round at "the gasp" during their call, Amanda might have been saved. I'm absolutely NOT blaming him - so many people in my life might have just assumed they'd talk later. When you're 30 years-old, you likely wouldn't think something tragic and life altering had happened. So awful that he has to live with that. And lastly, I initially thought homicide but am leaning more toward accident. Still, the broken cell phone, its location . . . and blood spatter on the walls from just one (significant) injury keep nagging at me. What details made Kat ultimately conclude there was a killer? π€β€οΈ
