April Update: Virus?

Here's a quick blurb about what's going on in my life right now. TLDR: I'm a-o-k.

I work as a painter, painting houses and offices, which counts as construction, which counts as "essential" so I'm not out of a job. That said, some of our clients have dried up, so last week I had pretty much the whole week off. This gave me a relieving taste of freedom, much different from the five- or six-day workweeks I'm used to.

What did I learn from that week off? I learned that I can hack being an artist full time. Every day I wanted to draw for three hours in the morning, do some yard work and stuff in the afternoon, and then come back to drawing again in the evening. I can totally do it. Being a full-time artist is now a CERTAIN goal of mine. Just a matter of when and how.

I also bonded more with my family, started a victory garden, and am learning music on the side. We'll need music when we do puppet shows and cartoons later on. Expanding my art to whole new fields improves my creativity as a whole.

As for the immediate future, I probably won't be working Saturdays any time soon and I might even get more time off again eventually. Good news for my art career! I'll keep you all up to date when there's more to announce, but until then just know that I'm doing fine and I intend to stay cool and keep drawing like crazy. Cheers!
