Backstory Blog 4: Sketchbook 2021
Added 2021-10-01 23:30:03 +0000 UTCI do a couple little sketches every day at work during my breaks and lunches. Sometimes I'll doodle something that's on my mind, like if I'm working on a tricky animation and want to practice an angle or expression or hand pose. Other times I just look up random references from other artists or life, or I'll just draw hands. My philosophy on improving as an artist is to draw as frequently as I can; if I can count four instances throughout the day I started to draw something, that's evidence of a habit being strengthened.

Oh, and Terryl Whitlatch is the "great artist" I mentioned half way into the sketchbook. She does really good animals.
PS- I wonder if you can tell how tired I was when I filmed this video? Next time I'll do it on a weekend morning while I'm caffeinated instead of after work on a Thursday in the middle of a long week.
