Good News / Bad News

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't had much to post this month. Long story short, about a week ago my editing hard-drive started acting up, and it's only gotten worse since then, culminating in the drive no longer ejecting at all today. Thankfully, I pay for/keep a cloud-based backup on my computer so that I'm not completely out of luck when things like this happen. However, I'm going to have to order a new hard-drive and move things over, so I apologize the slow-stream at the moment. 

In terms of where the content stands, I've been struggling a bit with picking out music for the Syra Wolf clip, despite most of the clip's draft being completed. I was contemplating leaving it silent, but the way I shot it makes it feel a little weird without music. It's hard to explain, but basically the vibe shifts back and forth, so you lose out on a bit of the drama without any music in this one. Instead, it just feels awkward lol. Other than that, I am hoping to finish up the last VR clip with Lauren Ashlyn next month if the drive comes in a timely manner.

I am once again in the process of trying my hand at applying to schools, so we'll see how that goes. Last year I wound up getting wait-listed to a few schools but didn't make it past the interview process, so hopefully I learned a few lessons from that experience. If I don't get in again, I might take a break from applying, and instead, try to focus on this stuff a little more seriously (sometimes I wonder if it's possible to turn this into more of a full-time gig, but I know that the way I produce long-form content isn't conducive for that. Not unless I spend time learning how to utilize 3D rendered tinies or something). But in all honesty, as much as I love doing this, that's probably a pipe dream and it'll probably stay at the same capacity lol (I do plan on keeping it going though, so don't worry). Right now, I don't have a great shooting location, and a lot of models prefer not to shoot at their own places for security reasons, which I understand. However, I updated my list of "models to reach out to" in the coming year, so I'm hoping to introduce some new folks into the mix. Apart from that, I only have a shoot with Lauren Ashlyn planned right now. I was hoping to shoot with Syra Wolf again, but I'm not sure if they're going to be shooting content in the same capacity anymore (I think Syra got a new job and that shooting may have only been a Covid related thing, but I'm not 100% sure. Regardless, I'm happy I got these two clips at least). If there are any models you'd like to see me work with who you know live in the Northeast USA, please feel free to let me know!
