Villains don't always want their plans to be convoluted nonsense, okay?
So many times, they'll start with something simple, like a one-step plan to do the thing that they want to do.
But then something comes up, and that won't work anymore! Because people have a tendency to do things that interfere with evil!
And then, before you know it? There's like, a dozen things they can't avoid having to work around, and now someone has to steal a chicken.
It's just how it goes.

Nanase doing roleplay in panel 1 and 3 is amazing. Ellen in panel 2 and 3 is getting fully into the world and pushing past her insecurities of being a girl in this universe. And then Larry just rolling with being bubbly and bardly in interjections. It's so sweet and spontaneous!
