Who Is Ellen - 149 - HD

Adventure (Almost) Complete -

Commentary

Honestly, after what Maribel did to Marik? Larry might be on to something.

In spite of this being a single session of an RPG story, I considered it of the utmost importance to establish that the party adopted the decoy chicken.

I'm not sure how long it'll take to complete this storyline, as the individual strips are still being written, but I do plan to take at least a full week off from EGSNP when it's done.

This will be 50% a break, and 50% "oh carp I no longer have the advantage of a long-running story with relatively simple visuals what the CARP am I going to do now quick brainstorm BRAINSTORM!"

I have a feeling this is going to end with this group now doing games on a regular basis, but with Ellen having more time to make up the adventure.

Wild Card

YEARS ago, my party adopted the party's deceased wizard's familiar as a team mascot. We never did find out what made Wanda The Wonder Wombat so special, the wizard took her secret to the grave (the player quit when the wizard character died). Even the DM didn't know the secret. All we knew was that she was never harmed when the party was in combat.

Wild Card

Of course it's of utmost importance that Larry adopted the decoy chicken in this story line. In a later RPG story line, when these players are comfortable enough with the game to use character names for their characters, much to their surprise, they're going to go up against Larry, Rich, Nanase, and George, and the big bad is going to be the decoy chicken. That would make no sense without Larry performing this crucial act.

Some Ed

Hmm... that plan to take a break after this story sure sounds fishy to me πŸ€”

AstroChaos

My last d&d group i dm'd for had one pc who just adopted anything she found "cute", which being an outer-god-worshiping warlock meant weird and alien. By the time the campaign died she had her many-eyed cat/baby shoggoth familiar and will-o-wisp cohort, plus had adopted a spider-mantis monster, a giant ape-snake demon with an enormous second mouth in its stomach, several elemental creatures resembling scorpions made of gemstones, a tiny gelatinous cube she kept in a jar, and several others I'm probably forgetting.

Adopting silly pets is something many parties.
