So about chapter 41
Added 2023-02-05 03:36:47 +0000 UTCOkay, I read all your comments and can see that many of you don't like this chapter. And I will say that the criticisms are valid. It was too dark and sudden for the tone of this story.
I guess I just wanted to draw a parallel between Harry and Vivian where both are worse parents. He condemned Vivian for not treating Tracey right, but in alternate timeline where he was mere a slave, he too would have sacrificed his daughter without a thought to save Iris. I just wanted to show this, how many can act evil and selfish in certain situations.
Now in the next chapter I'd have made him kill the worse of Death Eaters while cutting off the hand of those who hadn't done anything wrong in the last decade, and were now decent member of the society. Hence, his quest to kill all who had dark mark would have been completed. And in the end I'd have shown a scene with Nott, who is not really an evil bastard since his grandfather is dead, so Harry would be forced to forgive him. That's how this arc would have been concluded with Harry trying to find a way to only kill the worse and spare the rest.
But, seeing that most of you don't like this chapter, I may rewrite this. It's up to you. So, do you want to keep this chapter as it is, or do you want me to delete it and rewrite it?
