The janitor was only supposed to be in the first episode, but he was so great that they kept him on and wrote him an entire role in the show.

2019-02-14 22:49:24 +0000 UTCScrubs started 2001 long before Grey's Anatomy which started in 2005. Scrubs did run until 2010 though so it was still airing new episodes, it was just already halfway through its run by that time.
