Yea i can see that having seen the other episodes that this one is very weak. Some good ones are coming tho

They used thousands of REAL bees to make that shot, but the bees didn't read on film - they used film in seasons 1 and 2. So they add to add them post production as special effects. So in preparation for the scene they had Jared and Jensen each get stung to see if they were allergic or not. Yep. And while the crew filming the scene could wear bee suits, the actors couldn't. So, in solidarity, the director - Kim Manners - didn't wear a bee suit either. So, they got stung. And all for nothing. lol

It's a joke and everyone with the show does agree that it's one of their worst episodes. In my opinion, the rest of the season is strong. Some episodes better than others, but overall strong. They're also pretty varied. And I like that too.

2019-01-07 05:03:09 +0000 UTCYeah, this episode is definitely considered to be one of the weakest episodes and it is for the reasons you stated such as the anti climatic ending and the fact that there's no way so much time time could have passed. You picked up on the good points though such as the brothers clearly have some unresolved issues going on there, their dynamic is so interesting and you just want to know more. The creator of the show, Eric Kripke and other crew members who were involved in creating this episode make fun of themselves for letting it go ahead. That's one cool thing about the people behind Supernatural, they aren't afraid to own up to mistakes or laugh at themselves for wondering what they were thinking.
