2019-01-22 22:34:02 +0000 UTCA lot of Dr who villains are rooted in the history of the show so some do have a little bit of dated design

2019-01-22 22:33:47 +0000 UTCI respect that. Keeping them the same to honor them. The look felt dated but I liked the overall purpose and sound of them.

2019-01-22 06:59:37 +0000 UTCI appreciated this Episode for what it was trying to do. Felt the emotion hit well at times. Why did they have a no robots instruction?

2019-01-22 06:59:16 +0000 UTCThe dalek was one of the most popular villains from the original classic series so they kept the design because it was so iconic and as a nostalgia trip for those old time fans. The reason the dalek was able to regenerate from rose's touch was indeed because she had been time traveling with the doctor. the dalek explained it after it killed all those soldiers while the doctor watched.

2019-01-22 02:41:11 +0000 UTCIt's odd how I like these early episodes better on rewatch than I did on first time through them. Daleks were designed on a shoestring budget in 1963. The BBC almost scrapped them because they had strict "no robots" instructions and had to explain multiple times that they were not robots.
