I always took it as Shawn’s dad (Henry) was grooming Shawn to be a cop. That’s why he taught him to be super observant in the first place, to understand clues, to sneak up on perps. It just all backfired when Shawn decided he didn’t want to be anything like his dad, but he still had all his “training”. Oh and I would totally take the Milano cookies too. 🍪😆
