Its only been a week since they fought that dog looking mofo and i think the demi-humans work in a kinda evolve and age system, because her parents weren't strong (couldn't defeat the hound) but they still looked old, but she became stronger and her body adjusted to that (evolving). Just what i'm guessing it is.
