And if you think this is confusing youre gonna be lost with like every episode after 14, i had to look online and rewatch some of those eps to understand what was happening.

First in the episode you said rem decided to do something very stupid and idk if you already know why she did it now but she went back into the forest by herself to kill all the dogs because Beatrice told her about all the curses the dogs placed on him when they bit him and the only way to remove them was by killing all the dogs that bit him, but since there was no way to tell which dogs bit him she decided to go and kill all the dogs because with her demon powers she can keep fighting and the she would be healed by her horn so thats why she went solo, she didnt want him to die. And second, when he was attacked in the house it was rem, the only time the dog killed him from the curse was on the first timeline when he went to sleep and woke up with everything reset. And last, the reason the dogs come when he trys to tell her about the return by death is because that hand makes the smell of the witch a lot stronger which attracts the dogs to him because they were created by the witch and are drawn to her smell.
