To me the most important aspect of this episode, you didn't even mention. When Veronica's dad said that you really have to love someone to raise another man's child and Veronica spaced out in deep thought. The tease is that Duncan and Veronica may be siblings. Duncan's father and Veronica's mother were an item in high school. Did Duncan's mother dislike the relationship between him and Veronica, not because of a class prejudice but because she knew or suspected that Veronica was his sister? Did Duncan learn this and that's why he broke up with Veronica?

I'm pretty sure the next episode has my favorite Keith Mars scene of the entire series. Looking forward to it !

Yea they should have held off on the reveal of Tattoo, was too quick and not a great reveal.

Agree, felt safe and convenient at the end. That's why I like the Meet John Smith one, cool twist and well paced with a satisfying ending

Wait what? Really?

Steven Merced

Lol, yea at first I was really into it but it all just wrapped quickly and was not as interesting of an outcome as I would have liked. Then I started to think about plot holes during the breakdown of the video and I just felt we deserved better for what could have been a cool episode.

This show frustrates me at times. The characters are really good, the setting is good but the stories are just okay. I feel like this could have been so much more dramatic, it's too tame!

Fun fact: the woman for whom Veronica is supposed to make the photo project (Bonita Friedericy) is General Beckman from Chuck.

What I really enjoy this episode is the Logan/Weevil scenes. Weevil probably knew Logan wouldn't get in any trouble anyway, but he still kept quiet just on principle. Logan had no reason to help Weevil out given the history/strong animosity between them, but he has some kind of honor code. I found it interesting but not unexpected how well they got along, bonding over, uh, sticking it to the man? Their banter was gold. Unfortunately seeing that tattoo undid all that in a heartbeat...

Whoa you're right about those plot holes. I don't know why I remembered this episode being better, I must have been drunk or something. Having two people actually die would have been more climactic and emotionally satisfying. At the very least they should have had Keith actually kill the stepdad, it would have really raised the stakes for his character. And the guy's face being covered on the stretcher is extremely stupid, who does that? Just a thought, but the stepdad could have been a rapist AND the boyfriend could have been abusive. He didn't have to be a saint just because the stepdad's abuse was the twist. The bf could have found out about the rape and the resulting pregnancy and been a monster and hit her, and that could have been the reason she ran away. I hate it when shows think they need to have only one villain doing all the evil. A victim running away from her abuser and getting into another abusive relationship would have been shocking and ponient, though I guess now I'm just writing fucked up fan fiction.
