awh i dont know who recommended this but it gave away a few spoilers..... your reactions arnt gonna be the same. So i hope your memory isnt that great XD. Oh and yes he died. And princess Yue is the spirit of the moon, the one that controls the waves and ocean. When he surfed the waves you saw her lifting her arms. She was guiding him.

2019-05-25 22:10:29 +0000 UTCI'm not really sure if it makes any sense but my thought of princess yue (moon spirit) being there is to make the waterbending wave stronger. Cause waterbending power comes from the moon.
