Loved this episode. I've always loved the crossroads lore, both in and out of SPN. It's just so surreal and it FEELS real. You hear about Robert Johnson and all that and it's like...wait a minute. This seems like it could be true. Anyway, I like the hellhounds lore being a part of SPN. And Dean...ahh, my man giving me ALL the feels. That's what he does, though. And he's VERY good at it. Btw, I know you're on season 7 now and I hope you haven't been spoiled regarding the rest of the series. I just wanted to say thank God you're doing this because watching this with you made it easier for my very first rewatch after the series ended. You have my gratitude

The only similarities this girl has in this "Crossroad Blues" is that she's brunette...looks like Jared has a typeπAlso I love this episode, I didn't for a long time because it was one of the only ones that really creeped me out because of the truth of the lore surrounding Robert Johnson in real life.(Although they use true lore a lot) I mean Hellhounds...πΆreally trips me outπ¬

One of the things that makes it especially cool for me is that the Robert Johnson legend is true - his music really is littered with occult messenging, and many still say he was the greatest blues guitarist to ever live. That little bit of truth just puts this one way high in my opinion.

2019-05-08 04:54:22 +0000 UTCAs for the deal Dean made with the demon... he asked for Evan Hudson's and his wife's life in exchange for letting the demon go free. That was the only deal. Dean didn't trade his soul at all. And yes... the demon just left the girl's body on it's own. It didn't want to risk Dean going back on his deal so he could send it back to Hell, or risk him trapping it again to get information.
