I know for sure I never finished Season 1, in fact I'm not sure if I even made it to the halfway mark but the kids acting and the unclear plot and premise from the start made me cautious when proceeding. Re-watching the Pilot with you again I found myself asking the same questions you did "why?" but I'm curious to find out the answers but I just hope it can win me over this time around.

So, yes back in fairytale land(Enchanted Forest) Regina/Evil Queen(in storybrooke her name is Regina as well) cast the curse as a way to get her happy ending(you’ll learn later exactly why she casts it), & nobody remembers who they are. And yes time stands still which is why Mary Margaret/Snow White looks as young as her daughter Emma. Rumplestiltskin is Mr Gold & you’ll learn that no one breaks a deal with him whether it’s in the Enchanted Forest or in storybrooke which is why Snow told him her daughters name. And he wasn’t actually in the Snow White fairytale but you’ll learn that the fairytales in Once aren’t exactly like the ones we grew up with. The creators put their own twist on the fairytales which makes them quite interesting. You mentioned Maleficent & she’s in Sleeping Beauty. Yes, Prince Charming is alive & in a coma. I look forward to seeing more of your reactions for Once. I absolutely love this series. It’s sooo good & the seasons just keep getting better.!!

This is one of my all time favorite shows, I just love that not everyone and everything is as black and white as you think they are, that’s what makes the entire series so wonderful. You can have a lot of fun with this, meeting all the famous fairytale characters but also the show takes everything we know about them in the books etc and flips it on its head. My favourite is Rumplestiltskin. He's so creepy but Robert Carlisle who acts him is brilliant. Glad your reacting to this!

The Evil Queen does have an actual name in Once Upon a Time which has not yet been said, but not in the Disney movie or original fairytale. She's simply known as the Evil Queen. In Storybrooke, she is so far simply referred to as Madam Mayor on account of her being the town's Mayor. There are actually two Prince Charmings in the fairytales and in the Disney movies. Both in Snow White and in Cinderella like you thought, and neither were given a name in them. However, in Once Upon a Time, you will discover they actually do have names aside from simply Prince Charming. In the scene where Snow White and Charming visit Rumplestiltskin in his prison cell within the mines, where Snow tells him her baby's name... you will quickly discover that no one breaks deals with Rumplestiltskin, which Snow did make with him in exchange for information about the Evil Queen's plans. Everyone who knows of him, knows this. Bad things happen if they try. This is why Snow tells him the truth. And there's a very good reason why he wants to know the baby's name. :) The fairy who flies into the council room when the guards bring in the tree, and tells the characters all about their chance to save one person from the Evil Queen's curse... is the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio. And yes... Rumplestiltskin's cursed name is Mr. Gold. All of the characters' cursed names have something to do with their true names. For Rumplestiltskin... in his fairytale, he's known for having the power to spin straw into gold. That's where his cursed name comes from. The rest have yet to be revealed. :) And lastly... you might find interesting, that the actors who play Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), are married in real life. They met when they began filming for Once Upon a Time and over time they fell in love, then married during the filming of season two, and now they have two children together. They are still happily married. So beautiful. Their love and chemistry you see from them onscreen is very real. I love that!!!!

I really enjoyed watching your reaction to my all time favorite show and I really hope you're intrigued by the storylines and that you're excited to watch more. I really appreciate that you're watching and reacting to this show for me and for the other Patreon member who requested this show. So... thank you again! This Pilot episode is amazing! I love both the storylines for our characters back in the Enchanted Forest, as well as for our characters in the present day... in Storybrooke. In the present, everyone is cursed without memories of who they truly are and who their loved ones are, and where they have all been frozen in time until now... now that Emma has arrived and has begun to change things and weaken the curse over everyone simply by choosing to stay in town because she sensed something wasn't right with the woman raising her son as her own. Not only do people have no memories, but they also haven't aged a day, which is why Snow White and Emma are now about the same age... the same age like all fairytale characters were in the Enchanted Forest just before the curse swept them away to our world. As for the Evil Queen's happy ending... she cast this curse over the heroes for a reason yet to be revealed, but she wants everyone to suffer, while she's happy in the knowledge that they are all separated from their loved ones and miserable. She has all of her memories intact from the her previous life in the Enchanted Forest, which is foreshadowed when she stands in front of her mirror while holding the storybook. She's the town Mayor and has complete control over everyone because everyone's afraid of her. Afraid to defy and stand up to her. I love Emma and the storyline with her being everyone's Savior. I also love Snow White, Prince Charming, Regina the Evil Queen, and of course Rumplestiltskin... otherwise known as Mr. Gold in Storybrooke. He's so creepy and brilliant! And Henry is adorable. I loved seeing the rest of the characters shown so far in Storybrooke as well. My favorite scenes in this show... I loved the beginning scene where Prince Charming gives Snow White True Love's Kiss in order to wake her from the Evil Queen's poison from the apple. And I love the curse coming and sweeping over the entire kingdom as the Evil Queen boasts to Snow White about how she won and that the only happy ending would be her own, until Snow proclaims that Emma will one day find them and defeat the curse and therefore the Evil Queen herself. Your journey into this show has just begun and I can't wait for you to watch and react to more. I think you will absolutely continue to love Once Upon a Time. At least... I do hope you will. Thank you again! Until episode two titled, The Thing You Love Most...
