2019-06-24 15:15:33 +0000 UTCJust to add to what I said about the machine watching with ten thousad eyes, reading every email,listening to every phone call (as per Finch's explanation in ep 1) - you can get a reasonable idea of what sort of stuff the machine is drawing on if you watch the opening credits and pay attention to what comes up in the little boxes on screen.

2019-06-15 17:00:49 +0000 UTCI watched this show before season 5 had started. It was a week away. I figured that by the time I got there, season 5 would be done or mostly done. The show was good and I liked the characters. Then I watched this episode with that dilemma and that ending. I was hooked. So hooked, in fact, that I ended up binge watching and watched season 5 at the same time as everyone else!

2019-06-15 02:31:01 +0000 UTCCura te ipsum is latin. It means cure yourself. The entire quotation is from the Bible, I think. Its says “medice, cura te ipsum”. Doctor, cure yourself. Meaning before you look at other people faults you should look at your own. In this episode there are at least 3 different interpretations of this. Megan who needs to get over her survivor guilt to be able to heal. Fusco, the dirty cop, here shown playing with his kid (not casual) and engaging in pretty shady dangerous situations needs to take a good at what he is doing to maybe be on a path to redemption. And of course Reese says it all in the magnificent final exchange with the scumbag serial rapist. This is a terrific episode.

I love that we see this side of Reese, because once again we see that Reese sees himself as a bad man and a killer, when in truth, he is a good man with a good heart. He fights to protect and save innocent people. Not only from being killed or hurt, but also from hurting others who are evil and who deserve to be punished. I also loved that he convinced the doctor not to ruin her own life by killing the rapist, by offering to punish him for her so that she won't have to destroy herself. Her story is so sad and after hearing what happened to her her sister, you really want to see Reese punish this rapist and to see him suffer for ruining so many women's lives. However, the ending leaves it open for interpretation as to what Reese actually wound up doing to him. All we know for certain... is that Reese made sure that this bad guy won't ever harm anyone ever again and that he won't be able to retaliate against the doctor. That this rapist was punished. And I love that. I loved this entire scene between Reese and him. I also loved the amazing scene between Reese and the doctor. Also... I loved the side storyline between Reese and Fusco too. It's very interesting and while Reese seems cold toward towards Fusco and like he doesn't care about him, Reese still stepped in to protect Fusco from the drug dealers and then told Fusco he was still working for him despite there being a number of other dirty cops he could force to work for him. I truly believe that Reese has already begun to see Fusco as an ally and a friend, which is really cool. Thank you! I can't wait for more!!! And I'm so happy that you're loving this show so far. This show just keeps getting better and better. :) Until next time...

For now they let you think about how YOU would want that situation to end which I think is great! Love your reaction so much.

Great reaction :) But save the 9s - you'll need somewhere to go for the later episodes of this season - and then somewhere to go for the ones after that :P For how the machine worked stuff out - I dunno but it also has access to cameras and stuff - Finch said in the pilot that it watches with ten thousand eyes - maybe it saw patterns of movement that put the two in proximity in a way that suggested it wasn't random. And Reese being at the support group - it was a rape survivor's support group I think. When he tells her he lost someone I think he is implying to her that he lost someone to something like that, hence why he'd be at that group, because he follows it up with 'there's not a day goes by that I don't think about what I could have done' . Which would be something she would completely get.
