Explaining Tiers & "Schedule"

Howdy ladies and gents, so we have gotten a lot of new patrons over the past few months and I want to thank you for joining and supporting me. Never in my wildest dream would I have expected people to enjoy my reactions enough to support me. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

This is an update/explanation! To the Patreon for those that are not really sure how tiers and the "schedule" work

Below I will try my best to explain the tiers as well as the Schedule/non-Schedule.

If you have any questions leave them in the comments section and I will do my best to answer.

Do I Have A Schedule?

I kind of dont but also kind of do, I know thats confusing as hell but it's honestly the best way to say it. Its not a schedule the way other creators have where every week on a set day of the week you get a show. I have tried to do that but things always happen where I miss a day and things get pushed back and then the schedule is messed up and catching up becomes a whole issue for me. The way I do the "schedule" is that i look at how many days have passed since I last reacted to a show. If it's been 6-7 days I know it's time for me to watch the next episode. I do get behind and sometimes it may take 8,9,etc.. days but I will watch it.

Now some will say that I do too many shows and I should not do so many shows so I can just finish the ones I started with quicker. Well here is where we bring in some of my views on that.

Which shows get eliminated. How does that get decided? I dont really want to eliminate any show I'm doing. I love watching new things and seeing new stories.

I also like to believe that what has led to many of you becoming Patrons is the fact that you dont just watch 1 show I'm doing, I like to think you have multiple shows I'm doing that you watch. Shows not many others are doing. Shows like Dexter, Veronica Mars, Chuck, Nikita, Person of Interest,  Malcolm in The Middle, The Office, etc..

Maybe I'm doing this thing all wrong. I feel that my channel and Patreon is more the Netflix model approach. The value of a $1 is something I dont take for granted and when someone gives $$$ to me I feel I owe them the best I can do. So going the way that You just have a lot of things you can choose from. Hopefully it makes the value seem more worth it.

The Greenlight tier was a way to get people who wanted me to watch a show that maybe wouldnt win in Voting Polls a chance for me to watch. I never expected it to be as popular as it was and in all honesty maybe I priced that tier a bit low lmao.

Let's Talk Tiers.

All the $1 Tiers seem pretty easy to follow. A few days before the Episode goes up on YouTube anyone at this tier will get access to the Episode in Full Reaction Unedited Form.

$2.99 Tier: This is the same thing but just for 10 shows. Which if I'm being honest I think anyone at that tier if they could should move up to the $5 tier becuase you get so many more shows, as well as episodes way way earlier.

$5 Tier: This is the best Value Tier. Here you get everything and you get most shows extra early. The exception is any new show that I take on will show up at the $10 tier first. They will come here eventually but only after the $10 tier is a few episodes ahead.

Example: When Episode 3 of Gimore Girls is recorded the $10 Patrons get access to it. At this point the 1st Episode unlocks for the $5 tier Patrons.

$10 Tier: This is a tier that took me a while to make me feel like it had value. But I think its finally at a place where I feel it's worth it. Here you get access to all Pilot Prgram Shows(Shows that were selected for me to watch the Pilot of) and you also get early access to any new show I do. You will almost always be at least 2 episodes ahead of the $5 tier. You will also see movie reactions if I ever do them.

$15 Tier: This is where you can request Pilots to shows as well as something I just recently added which allows you to request any Episode of any show that is part of the Pilot Program. You can ask for the next Episode for a show like iZombie or you could request i watch the pilot to The Walking Dead. You can mix and match how ever you want. You get two reactions added to the queue of shows I react to every month.

$60 Fast Track Tier: I do a show you really like but you want more episodes of that show a week. This tier gets you up to 3 episodes of that show a week.

$60 Greenlit Tier: You Request A Season Of A Show And It Will Be Added To The Queue For A Reaction.

Well hopefully that explains the tiers for you so you better understand how they work.

Nothing Under This Matters For Now. Just My Thoughts.

I have some other ideas for fuure tiers

$??? Tier: Short Season Reaction

$??? Tier: A Binge Tier Where I Watch Your Show 5 Days A Week.

$?? Tier: A Producer Tier where you are seen as a producer on the reactions.

These are just random thoughts I have and may never see the light of day.

Well that's all I got for now, hope you better understand how the Patreon works.

Comments

I agree with you. I love seeing others react to a show or movie I love for the first time. That's why I am on Patreon and I always look forward to the reactions for all those I support. :)

There's nothing quite like watching someone whose opinion you value or respect discover a show you love. And I have run out of RL friends to introduce to POI and Dr Who. All my friends have either watched them or will never watch them :P

Dani C

What do you mean? I have started making post for when videos open up at the different tiers. The most have been going up o Mondays for $5 Patrons and Friday for $1 Patrons.

Steven Merced

The only thing I've noticed is that if an episode is locked for me, I often don't see it when it gets unlocked. Don't know if there's a way to trigger another post. I don't want to create more work but seems like those get missed when I browse.

I enjoy Supernatural a lot, but it isn't one of the shows I've green lit. Sorry about that. I hope you can find and thank the right patron. :)

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

You are most welcome. :) Person of Interest is one of my all time favorite shows along with Once Upon a Time. I love it so much!!!! Thank you for your gratitude and kindness. :)

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

Thanks!!! If you're the one that got SPN greenlit!

Michele

What worries me is if you are binge watching one show, does that mean there won't be anything for the rest of us to watch, particularly if the one show is one we don't watch? So we would have no reactions.

Janet Daurity

If you are in anyway responsible for Person of Interest being greenlit you have my undying gratitude :p

Dani C

Yay!! That's great!!

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

Seems to be a lot of interest in this.

Steven Merced

Yes, the phrasing for the vault had me confused too. I wasn't really sure what you meant by the series entering the vault when completed, so I was worried maybe it meant that the show would become unavailable at some point before I caught up. If the vault is another name for the $5 tier, then I understand completely. :) I too was happy to see the $1 tier here when I first arrived, because I was a complete Patreon newbie, and your $1 tier allowed me to get my feet wet so to speak, without much worry about the cost, since it was just $1 to test out the process. No big loss if it didn't work out. I've since moved up to the $2.99 tier which has opened many more titles for me and once I've caught up on those titles, I plan to move into the $5 tier because I love your reactions so much. This may sound odd, but I really like having someone to rewatch these shows with, since no one in my "real life" circle wants too lol...

Amanda S

Don't do so much you stop enjoying it. 'Cause then you'll have to stop reacting and we'd have sad faces all round :p

Dani C

okay that makes sense. :)

Dani C

As of right now... I am absolutely grateful to you for watching both of my shows that I have currently green lit, as well as Once Upon a Time, at the pace youโ€™re able. So, thank you again, so much!!!! Youโ€™re amazing for all you do!

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

Depending on the price... which I am certain would absolutely be fair no matter what you were to price this tier at... I would be very interested in your Binge Tier Idea. Itโ€™s basically like your Green Light Tier, or your Fast Track Tier, in which we can request you watch an entire season of a show, but at a much faster pace. You would easily get through an entire season of one show a month. I hope you will create this tier. Because I would love to upgrade to it and see five episodes of my favorite three shows... Once Upon a Time, Person of Interest, and Pushing Daisies... that youโ€™re currently reacting to a week... at separate times of course. Once you were to finish one series, I would continue to request you begin the next one five times a week.

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

Maybe if you can explain which shows will be in which tiers. Without that is is a bit conceptual to follow. And maybe I'm just a bit slow on the pick up about it all. Bottom line though - I rally do enjoy your channel

Brenda Lewis

Yea which is why I have not introduced it. I feel that would be what kills me. Up to this point I'm good and not overwhelmed I feel that would be what breaks me lmao

Steven Merced

Well no show is in the vault yet. Also anyone at the $5+ tier will get access to it. The vault is just a term I used to explain what will happen to the shows in the $1 tiers once the series are finished airing on YouTube. Nothing is in the "vault" I just used the word Vault to explain its been locked away at the $5+ tiers

Steven Merced

I am sure a binge watch tier would be very popular although not so sure you'd be able to cope with the pressure ๐Ÿ˜‚ Unless it had a ridiculous price tag or you were forced to stagger it so it was one show at a time. I currently watch VM, Buffy, Dr Who, Pushing Daisies and PoI for $10. Bargain.

Inseriousity

I subbed at the $10 tier recently and I think that gives pretty decent value. But it was the $1 tiers that initially caught my attention. I think the only change I would want to see is access to old reactions (the 'Vault') But - it's not a big thing - i'm happy watching what you have going on

Dani C

So when shows move from the $10 tier to the $5 tier?

Steven Merced

I think maybe the way shows move between tiers could be clearer.

Dani C

Story of my life lmao. Even when I try to explain I confuse. Can I know which part confused you?

Steven Merced

I really love The Office and I'm excited that you are fast tracking Supernatural, but it feels like you are making this way more complicated than it needs to be. I love that your channel is growing and I hope to stay for quite awhile, but I think if you frustrate people with too many confusing tiers you will lose some. Because honestly I read your post and I'm not sure what your taking about, it's confusing
