the Daleks survived that last one with rose because the rest got sucked into the thing but we saw one do an emergency temporal shift so he got away.

2020-06-29 18:25:55 +0000 UTCI get it what you are saying about the Daleks but you gotta remember they were one of the big classic monsters. I just say be prepared because as you've seen and I don't think its much of a spoiler to say the show structure works this way there are classic villians like Daleks, Cyberman etc that pop up and will keep popping up here and there and in between are one offs or recurring new monsters that have become classic since nuwho started. It's like how other shows have big bads and motw it's just in this they are recurring new or classic monsters so I don't know when I first watched I hadn't watched classic who but I looked into it a bit after classic monsters showed up and just kinda watched with the expectation that they were going to pop up occasionally. It's like watching Star Trek and knowing that Klingons or Romulans etc are going to keep popping up. plus for anybody who is watching live it's like a year or more sometimes between seasons so when they pop up it doesn't seem as soon as when you see them.

2019-07-08 04:37:26 +0000 UTCBloody well said, mate. I really struggle with rewatching this era o ft he show - there are some fantastic episodes, a few that remain on my favourite list even now - and even most of the bad episodes have something good in them. But there are some truly awful stories too. Some real missteps. I'm pretty much treading water until this current arc is done, despite some awesome episodes along the way.

2019-07-02 19:28:02 +0000 UTCThis is the journey of a Doctor Who fan. It is more than okay for you to not be enjoying things right now. This show has not yet earned it. There are a lot of hits and misses and as much as people wish to not be honest......it is going to go on for a bit. He has to make it to the tent pole episodes and those are written by a certain group of people. If he can hang on till the next "beyond brilliant" episode, he will get hooked, but we need to be honest about this show.........it was rough with beyond brilliant moments and then it became "beyond brilliant" with slightly less "beyond brilliant" episodes.......he is in a better place with this show than the reactor Sesskaysays was at this time and she was featured on a BBC Podcast for her Christmas Doctor Who December special.......calm down everyone, he is right where he is supposed to be

2019-06-27 17:58:44 +0000 UTCProbably one of my least favourite episodes in the show. Power through and the season will definitely improve. Keep it up

2019-06-24 23:36:20 +0000 UTChowever, this does not force a full episode on the show, every season, as they must at least have an on-screen appearance in some capacity every single year, even if its a very minor cameo appearance

2019-06-24 09:04:55 +0000 UTCEver since the 1960s the bbc and Terry Nation have had problems with the copyright and the daleks were written out of the show in 1967 because Terry Nation was being a problem and wanted to make his own dalek show, so ge had the rights, eventually they did return a full five years later and then continued to return being used very sparingly especially in the 1980s with only three total stories for the entire nine years, however, i believe after the initial cancellation of the show in 1989, Terry Nation had the rights and his estate still at least co-owns them to this date.

2019-06-24 08:01:57 +0000 UTCI still can't rewatch this one all the way through, I think its one of my least liked episodes of doctor who, I forgot Andrew Garfield was in it though, that was fun.
