Good episode, highlight would definitely have to be the OH. HELL. NO. followed by Emerson running out praying and crossing his fingers (and though we can't see them probably his toes too).

2019-06-24 16:22:44 +0000 UTCThanks, yes that makes sense. I think the only that I did not love was the sword fighting which is why it was an 8 over a 9 for me. I just didnt understand why the guy would keep fighting once they both realized neither actually killed anyone really

2019-06-24 07:46:27 +0000 UTCFirst... in answer to your question about what dies in place of what Ned revives... if Ned were to touch a dead firefly, something of equal size or about the same size dies in its place This is why the spider dies. When it was the peach, another something of a similar nature dies in its place. Which is why the flowers die. And when Ned touches the dead people, another person must die in their place. Same size, species, or of equality. Does this make sense? As for the episode... I love this episode so much! Aside from the Pilot episode, this one is one of my favorites from this season. Ned to me is so adorable, not just in this episode, but overall. He's shy, and awkward, and so cute. That's why he's my favorite character. And I also love that this episode brings up the consequences of Ned's "gift" that he doesn't so much see as a gift. Chuck sadly finds out about these consequences and Ned feels hurt and worried because the love of his life sees him as a killer. However, over time, she comes to understand why Ned kept her alive and is grateful he made the decision he made for her. Emerson was hilarious in this episode. Like you, I love the moment he gets afraid upon the coffin lid becoming stuck with the dead brother not so dead being trapped inside after Chuck slams it closed on him before Ned can touch him again. I love the look on Emerson's face when he runs away. I also love how Emerson talks to Ned all throughout this episode, and how he makes Ned feel guilty because his reasons for doing so are more out of greed and his disdain for Ned's decision to keep Chuck alive despite the consequences. I love the swordfight between Ned and Wilford Woodruff in the end. I thought it was funny, especially with Emerson being trapped in the window as Chuck calls him Winnie the Pooh. I think that the choreography of the swordfight is fun and the dialogue as well. I especially love that Ned tells the guy who tried to frame him for the murder of the other brother, who wasn't actually murdered, that he used to want to be a Jedi when he was a boy, then raises the sword higher to strengthen his attack form. In answer to your question about why Woodruff was arrested... it is because he had tried to frame Ned for murder after moving the body of the other brother to Ned's freezer inside The Pie Hole. Woodruff didn't kill the brother, but he would have done so, had the brother not choked on the meat in his throat when he became startled upon seeing he was about to be killed. Technically, Woodruff could have been arrested for attempted murder I suppose. And lastly... I like Olive's storyline in this episode as she continues to struggle with her feelings for Ned and her hate for Chuck, especially after she sees her and Ned kiss. I like that she meets someone who likes Olive and who tries to help her feel better out of kindness. And this suitor also meets Chuck, who then takes the samples of the homeopathic medicine and puts it into a pie for her aunts to help cheer them up. Yes... it is a pie with a special kind of cheese baked into the crust, as we were introduced in the Pilot episode that Lilly and Vivian love all kinds of cheeses and keeps them all in their cheese box... not ice box. And because Olive delivers them this pie, she gets to talking with Chuck's aunts and then discovers that Chuck is still alive, despite thinking she actually faked her death, since the truth as to how she's still alive is unfathomable to anyone except for those who know the truth behind Ned's "gift". Thank you so much!! I can't wait for more Pushing Daisies! This show is just so clever and beautiful, and fun. Until next time...
