Lucas's mum was played by Amy Acker who also played Fred in Angel

After season 1 they got the music rights for streaming, too. You might have already heard this -- I'm just seeing your full reviews starting with this one. Just for example, here's the broadcast music for this ep (copied from Supernaturalwiki): "What a Way to Go" by Jesse Turnbow (Black Toast Music) (plays at the Lynnwood Inn, when the guys look through newspaper articles) "Round and Round" by Ratt (plays when they arrive at Lake Manitoc) "Too Daze Gone" by Billy Squier (plays in the car with the "We don't have to hug, are we?" remark) "Movin' On" by Bad Company (plays at the end when they leave Andrea and her son)

Supernatural is currently half way through its 14th Season and yes, the dynamic etc is definitely a big part as to why the show has gone on for so long. Jared and Jensen first met when they started on the show together and quickly became best friends which is still the same all these years later. Lucas was connected to Peter (the army men, the drawings etc) and I'm not sure that he had any control over going to the lake, like I'm not sure he had any control over drawing the pictures or going to where the bike was buried. You are right though, it could've been explained better I think. I think Dean was holding Lucas back because he could've got in the way and because it may have put Lucas in danger going by the water. Dean has always been my favourite character and still is to this day but I love Sam too. They balance each other out perfectly and work really well together as a team. I especially like this episode because we see Dean a little differently with how he talks about what happened to his mom and how he is with Lucas, it suggests that there is more to him than the sarcasm and the attitude (which I love, don't get me wrong) it's just interesting discovering the many layers to both characters. Great reaction!
