If he or Toby were to try anything in this situation, Stanley would have justification to go above his head to Ryan and explain how he feels about the constant use of "Michael's Meetings" and how they affect/effect his ability to make sales with the interruptions. Just because someone has a title does not make all their actions above questioning, workers have rights and if Stanley wanted to quit or file a grievance, he would not have to make up any stories, so if they fired him or sent him home, that creates a paper trail and the company would not survive that.

2020-05-04 16:08:44 +0000 UTCThis episode was definitely cringe lol I've seen managers like Michael who are limp-wristed, soft-spoken, no spine at all, poor excuse for "men". As a manager myself what you would do in this situation especially since you have an HR rep there also is immediately tell Stanley to step outside since he doesn't want to be part of the team meeting (no matter how ridiculous it is), and to go home since he didn't appear to be working at all. He would be verbally reprimanded and documented, case closed, simple as that lol the fact that you have HR there makes everything way easier

For four seasons, we have seen Michael spending time doing nothing, harassing employees, embarking on nonsensical endeavors, involving the office in his personal life, and having time wasting meetings. He has little grip on reality, nor understanding how business works. Particular with Stanley, Michael kept egging him one, with either trying to force Stanley in his bs ideas or racially stereotyping him. To see Stanley call Michael out as being as unqualified, unprofessional, and overall a dumb*ss that he is was awesome.

2020-05-04 15:01:55 +0000 UTCI enjoy the Stanley stuff, I do enjoy how Michael reacts for the most part, but here is my issue. It amazes about all the things that happen in the Office and all the things that go on around Toby, but this was the thing he decided he had to put his foot down for? I just think that to show Toby with no backbone the entire series, but get all fired up over going after Stanley is not a well thought out thing for his character. I realize for most people they may/can overlook this and that is their right and does not make them wrong in the least, but for some it hits kind of close to home and I can say honestly that my overall feelings of Toby from this point on changed.
