I think you missed some of the product placement/advert parody in some of the film, but still a good reaction.

2020-05-12 19:06:20 +0000 UTCI'm not a big fan of Carrey in his comedic roles I just find him really annoying there. But I love this movie, it's just such a great story and well told. Hindsight recognition: Truman's best buddy is the FBI agent from The Americans. His love interest is also the first lady in Designated Survivor.

They had made their plans and intended to implement them. After the scene on the beach, they obviously couldn't have trusted her again to do what they wanted.

Oddly enough it came out a year before Big Brother and the reality show genre really began to take off and that’s always been a bit eerie to me 😅. Anywho, if you like this one I actually recommend Pleasantville starring Tobey Maguire after this if you haven’t seen it before. It came out the same year and has a similar concept about perceptions of reality!
