Christopher has his moments in this show, but yes... sometimes you really wanna bitch slap him into the middle of next week.

Tammy L. Faulkner

Late to the game, and probably not the person to ask, as I kind of like Chris... not my favorite, but I like him... I totally agree with him on his outburst though. He could have been a bit more quiet about it, but she basically said that the only reason that she had never had a relationship be able to work out was because of him, and she had always been holding out for him. How is that fair to put her unhappiness on him? Every character is so very flawed, which is part of the charm. Chris as all of them has his flaws. He and Loralai are so much alike, except when it came time to take care of their child, she rose be able to handle it, and I think he ran because he didn't feel like he could handle it. And even if he could, Loralai is so independent, what role would she have allowed him to have? I have no doubt in my mind that she would have never accepted a dime from him.

I don't like Christopher but that flip out while ott, was about the only thing I agreed with him on in the entire episode

Paul Gibson

I feel like I’m the only one who always liked Christopher 🙈 maybe because I was young and found him handsome, I can definitely understand some of the arguments but I don’t think he’s quite as bad as some people make him out to be idk, then again just because someone is objectively good or bad doesn’t mean I won’t or will find them entertaining to watch if that makes sense.

I agree that there was no reason for Lorelai to tell him. It's like she got something off her chest to feel better just to dump it on him. And it did kind of sound like she was indirectly blaming him for being single all those years.

Ina Durcekova

I mean, I kind of understand where Christopher was coming from in this episode. Like what was the point of Lorelai telling him? It only stirred up trouble.

Ina Durcekova

For the record, I do NOT like Christopher, and he is beyond inappropriate in this episode, multiple times.

Renee Pope-Munro

Totally agree with you about Christopher, never liked his character. He completely crossed a line with the way he flipped out on Lorelai.

Brianna Dawson

Yeah it was great that Lorelai had that epiphany, but she didn’t need to tell him that. Also I think Christopher was offended because he’s still in love with Lorelai and he feels like, “Damn, I finally got my life together, I’m doing well and she still has something to blame me for”.

Other Boy Reactions

So I agree that Christopher shouldn’t have yelled, but I agree with him that Lorelai didn’t need to tell him that. She said that she (subconsciously) sabotaged all of her previous relationships because she had hoped they’d get together. So she’s single because of him? And now that he has someone else, she can move on? It really sounds like she either had really low self-esteem or that she did what too many people do and held onto the fantasy of the person she hoped he would maybe become someday. So she was either soothing her ego and/ or being naïve at the very least. I love Lorelai, but that moment didn’t make either of them look great. She said all of that to Christopher as if he would be happy to hear it for some weird reason, but that was one epiphany she could/ should have kept to herself

It’s not the same thing with Chris and Max. Christopher never came around so why would Loreli need to include him in her life. Christopher really gets in my nerves. Loreli is a permanent fixture in Rory’s life. Christopher just started coming around for his 16 year old and barely. Calling once a week? So no, when Christopher brought up Max, no I don’t feel he deserved any consideration. I really don’t like him. And Emily is a mess too. She has this picture of what SHE wants Lorelei’s life to be and when it’s not she flips out. I don’t see how Chris didn’t hear Emily being loud. Every other time folks hear the loud conversations in the kitchen. So either he did and he’s lying or... no he heard and he’s a big jerk. A big jerky asshole. I think he’s just mad cause he clearly wanted Loreli and she wouldn’t have him because she knew he wasn’t ready at 16/17 and he still was an immature jerk until what two minutes ago. Do people actually like Chris?! Yeah, I think Paris wants to be friends with Rory because she sees that she is as serious as her about school and has finally stopped seeing her as a competitor/enemy but as someone who has the potential to understand her.

Valencia Lanier

Yep... Christopher and Jess are easily tied for this show's worst characters that I cannot stand. Ugh!!

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

I can’t stand Christopher

Stacey

i don’t like Christopher!!!

Mariella Nilsson

I don’t hate Christopher but he was definitely being an ass.

Lostmyshoe22

I agree with all your thoughts about the episode! Never been a fan of Christopher and I don’t ever want him with Lorelai. I think Christopher definitely took Lorelai confessing the wrong way. She was acknowledging that she felt she messed up a lot of her relationships because she always thought they would eventually end up together.

Mo

Wait, there are people who like Christopher?! I’ve never enjoyed his character really. Nor have I ever enjoyed or wanted him with Lorelai

smarie

Oh, no. Not me. I can't stand Christopher. I usually hate it every time he shows up.
