Arrow "Lone Gunmen" 1x3 Reaction (Brother)

Deadshot's "demise" in this episode pissed me off too, but the episode was solid and definitely the best so far. I just want to add one comment about Laurel, I would be all about her being this new person and whatever if it weren't for that little bit at the beginning. Does she HAVE to be constantly looking up stuff on Oliver? Does he have to live in her mind rent-free the entire time? It's over. I thought this was settled last episode when she invited him into her apartment for "let's be friends ice cream time" instead of just telling him to fuck off. Other than that, I'm down with everything being set up so far. Thea is kind of annoying though lol

It's pure conjecture, but I think they wanted to make sure the flashbacks had a different visual feel to them from the current events, and since they were going to be using flashbacks a lot they thought using a different filming technique would be better than simply tinting the color. I think going with a shakey, found-footage sort of style with the camerawork is meant to accentuate the "wilderness" of the island when compared to the order of civilization.

The herb stuff he takes is just to counteract the poison, not to heal wounds: the arrow he was shot with on the island must have been poisoned,which is how he recognised that the bullet he got caught with at the start of the episode was poisoned, that's why he took the herb, and then Diggle got shot by the same guy whose trademark move is to poison his bullets and that's why he had to get Diggle back to base fast to get the herb into him to counteract the poison - implication being if left to emergency services as a simple gunshot the poison would kill him.

Great reaction - lot of fun. I would say though, you need to be careful about looking away from the screen during scenes where someone is speaking another language - you miss the subtitled dialogue
