This episode is one of my overall favorites... if not my favorite, for Michael because he's my favorite character. I really loved his development throughout this episode and the mystery behind the Balance as Michael fights to survive and to feel his true connection to Max and Isabel. I also really liked that Alex was brought into the circle, his eagerness to help his friends despite his mistake, and how he was the first to volunteer to stand in the circle for Michael without question. As for the ending... I really couldn't care less that Max and Liz broke up after getting together. I don't like their relationship at all. It's more annoying than anything else. And lastly,... I really like Max's, Isabel's, and Michael's backstory with how they found one another as children, though Michael was the one who struggled to trust Max and Isabel.
