When they said the guy that was being picked out by the machine turned out to be one of their own, they meant he was a traitor to the country - selling uranium to Iran

Also - she went on Fusco's computer because she realised the CIA are likely watching her computer and she doesnt want them to see that photo of Reese and Finch and start connecting the dots

2019-07-08 17:12:17 +0000 UTCYes, it was an homage to Rear Window. Even some shots were exact replica. I liked the main storyline, but the juicy part were the side plot with Carter and the CIA, Carter and Finch and the flashbacks. We learn more and more about the machine.

There are some good twists and turns, as well as enjoyable and interesting characters. I too like that this episode is very much like the Hitchcock movie, Rear Window. And it was entertaining seeing Reese and Finch work their case through as they keep their eyes on each of the tenants through their cameras and other unconventional means. I loved that Reese broke his sink with a hammer to draw Trask out so that Finch could break into Trask's apartment. And I also loved that Reese helped Finch escape from Trask who chased after him, by discovering the security guard's secret about him being the thief breaking into the tenants' apartments for their treasures. And then... we learn that Trask isn't actually the perpetrator like our heroes believed him to be, as Reese at last confronts Trask about terrorizing Lilly from one of the other apartments. And I love their confrontation, then the fight that ensues shortly afterwards... first between the stalker and Finch, who quickly jams the stalker in his eye like Reese suggested he do, until Trask then arrives to help Finch and Lilly, and finally Reese manages to fight the stalker despite being seriously wounded and even manages to throw him out of the window. Brilliant and it shows once again just how badass Reese really is, being injured and everything. As far as the side storyline between Carter and Finch goes... I really like this storyline too. I love that Finch brings Carter in on a case to help him out with another number, since he and Reese can't do so themselves with Reese still unable to move around so easily. I liked the small case as Carter chooses to trust Finch enough to follow this poor guy around, until she suddenly stops him from killing the bank manager he wanted to kill for ruining his life in his eyes. Mostly, I love that Finch calls Carter and states, "That... Detective, is what we do." and then hangs up on her. Brilliant. As for Snow and the other CIA agents still following Cater to try to find Reese... I agree that aside from Snow and maybe his partner who had actually shot Reese in the last episode, they do seem really sloppy for being with the CIA. But for a show I love so much, I can easily overlook its little flaws like this. :) And lastly... I also found the past storyline between Finch and Nathan, as they're working with the Machine, then are confronted by those whom they've sold the Machine to, very intriguing. Especially when the Machine comes to see Nathan as a possible threat against it. Very interesting indeed. Thank you again! I'm so glad you enjoyed this episode a lot. I don't watch Dexter at all because it holds no interest for me, so I didn't recognize the actor who plays Trask, but I liked his character in this episode a lot and loved the overall storyline. You're amazing like always! Until next time...
