If I already upgraded to the $10 tier to get early access to POI. I totally would have for BSG :)

So obvious that I upgraded to the $10 tier just because he did this. I hope others encourage him to continue with the series after he's done with the prologue.

So glad you're reacting to these. One of the best sci fi dramas ever made, This show changed how sci fi was done on tv. Massively influential. Also - the music? wow loved it. Even more so when the show went into full series and Bear McCreary started doing the OST - just amazing

So, just FYI, you're labelling these things Battlestar Galactica 1x1 part 1, 1x1 part 2... so you're aware, this actually isn't 1x1. This is the miniseries that precedes the show - the prologue, if you will.
Battlestar Galactica 1x1 is an episode titled "33", which follows basically right after the miniseries finishes. It's also one of the best episodes of science fiction ever recorded.
The fact that this show is already good at the miniseries "Pilot" stage, and then spends 2 whole seasons getting better, is why so many people (including me) are baffled that it isn't a popular show for people who record reactions.

This might already been answered, but have you already seen "33"?

FYI: While the star system itself is never truly explained, Caprica is not on Earth. Caprica is its own planet with Caprica City as a capital city. And the solar system has twelve inhabitable planets (the "twelve colonies of Kobol"). During the announcement of the nukings both on Galactica (minute 3:10) and later on Colonial Heavy 798 (minute 5:00) named planets/colonies are Caprica, Aerilon, Picon, Sagittaron, Gemenon and Tauron.
