It's rare that the first episode of a series is one of the best scifi episodes in the past decade or two.

2019-07-18 18:08:14 +0000 UTCBased on what the characters believe the cyclone either had an agent on the Olympic Carrier or were tracking that specific ship. Once that ship wasn’t able to jump (being left behind, malfunction or even possible sabotage) cyclone board ship, put nukes on it, kill crew and use the last jump coordinates placed in their FTL computer to jump to where the fleet is.

2019-07-18 18:07:29 +0000 UTCI hope you can fit this series into your schedule as you finish other shows. One of the most satisfying shows I've seen (just my nerdy opinion lol). My husband and I used to have BSG watch parties... I miss it :)

2019-07-18 17:35:56 +0000 UTCThe woman who was blamed and you weren't sure why, her name is petty officer Dualla. It is her fault because she is the person who is keeping track of how many ships have jumped, she isn't the person who is jumping Galactica, she's the comm officer. So, she's watching the other ships jump, and keeping track of which ships have jumped and which haven't yet. As they've been jumping for awhile, some ships are having mechanical problems so it isn't as easy as "I see other ships jump, so I jump." The Galactica is the last ship to jump, they wait until all civilian ships jump away before they go themselves, that way no civilian ship is unprotected...as is shown in the destruction of the Olympic Carrier, civilian ships get destroyed in like 1 hit, so without the Galactica there to protect them, they'd instantly die. Dualla is supposed to keep track of the civilian ships, so that the Galactica knows when it can jump. During that jump, we don't see what happened in the control room, so we don't know what happened. However, from other jumps the order seems to be: Adama says something like "have the fleet jump", after a minute or so Dualla says something like "all civilian ships have jumped", Adama says "Jump" and Galactica jumps. So, either Adama didn't wait for the fleet to go (which is unlikely, as everyone else would have said something), or Dualla said all the civilian ships had jumped even though they hadn't jumped.
