I don’t think Hersh ever gets an “enemy” red ? Even when he’s shooting at us he’s yellow. Maybe The Machine just decided she liked him lol

Wanda Did Nothing Wrong

The actress playing Claypool's wife is Camryn Manheim. This is the first show where I consciously remember her. But from here on out, she's popping up constantly in shows that I like, most recently in the new show Stumptown.

They are uploaded to Dropbox and idk if there is another way to access it if you dont have one. Although I dont think you need an account if you just click the links. Im not sure though

Is there a way to access the video files not through dropbox? I can't seem to access my account there or get a new one... =(

I love the twist in this episode so much. I think it might be one of my favourites of the series. I mean the Turing/Root twist in the season 1 finale is great as well but I find it incredible that the episode makes us believe that Diane is a victim of Claypool's illness but it turns out he does remember his wife and she is not her! It's a very clever twist and so so cruel. Props to her though, Control is very good at undercover!

Inseriousity

Also a bit of backstory on Control. She is the same government employee in charge of the Machine. She was the boss over all people working for the machine, including Weeks and Special Council guy (the old guy - that by the way was killed at the end of season 2 by Hersh at the command of Control - the lady - remember him saying, ''yes ma'am ill seal the room). In her first episode, Control was the person shaw was looking for. Also remember at the very end of 2x22 when Hersh was going to that limousine and and said ma'am Research made contact, a number? He was talking with Control. Her reveal is a great moment, because we have been aware of her, more or less since season 2 episode 16.

The colors are not simply representing good/bad. But since it can be confusing from time to time (and it honestly is never explained in the show really), here are the colors and what they represent (I will leave out colors we haven't seen yet): White Box: Monitored Individual (pretty much everyone) White Box with red corners and Crosshair: Irrlevant threat (the numbers Harlod gets) Red Box: Relevant threat (like terrorists, the numbers that get send to the Government) OR threats to the Machine itself or it's Admin (Harold) Yellow box: Individuals that know about the Machines existance. Blue box: Individuals designated "Asset Catalyst" (working for the machine but don't know about the machine, like Shaw when she was introduced) So in this scene Hersh has a yellow box because he knows about the machine, but since he doesn't have a gun out or is threatining to kill someone (that is innocent) his box isn't red. Controls box usually would be yellow since she also knows about the machine but since she is threating to kill Harold (admin) her box turns full red.

Also the actress that plays Control was most known for “The Practice.”

Hirsch is yellow I think because if he’s not an immediate threat he is still an asset of the machine on the relevant side.

''If they don't want you to get inside, they ought to build it better'' - Harold Finch Thank you for the reaction. I am sorry to hear about your allergies. It does feel like you were distracted for a whole part of the episode. I loved this episode, sets quite a few things into motion. An episode that introduces a possible new chapter. I like how you asked at the beginning where do we go from here. And how you remembered that Root says something bigger is coming :D. Harold in the beginning of the episode looks so distraught he is so upset about what's happened. Love your reaction when you realised that he ignores the calls. Harolds flashbacks are amazing. His situation with is dad is what made him research computers and what steered him towards a career like he had. Loved learning that. I expected more of a reaction to the knowledge that there was a second machine almost built. It's definitely a twist in this episode. When root was giving the number to Harold you mentioned if root has a phone in there. The answer is no. Harold is super careful and would not be fooled. However root is communicating to the machine. My theory is that the machine is communicating when Harold opens the door (since root is in a Faraday cage a phone would not help her since there is no contact there). You will see what I mean in the next episode where you will see an example of one of the ways the machine can communicate with root (I think she did the same way with Harold) you'll understand what I mean next episode. Regarding the scene at the amend where Hersh is show with a yellow box. He is the only one yellow because at that moment he was not holding a gun to Harold or Shaw's head (who are directly working for the machine). At the end you were enquiring about a yellow writing (on the machines calculations). Root is known to the machine as her ''Analog Interface'' in case you were wandering what was that yellow writing at the end (where we see the machine's calculations) ;D wink. Thanks again. I give this episode a high 9. It's just brilliant the writing the quotes. Everything. See you with the next episode. I can't wait.
