Quite good episode. However the characterization of Chuck was forcefully ooc. They try in some way to justify it up to a certain point, but it doesn't convince at all. And as you said he was always all about Sarah, that he would make such a choice after constantly bitching for 2 seasons about not wanting to be a spy and wanting to be a simple guy, is very ooc however you try to disguise it. They just wanted to push the reset button and try to have everything back to the status quo (with a few slight changes). Still an enjoyable episode.

Chuck had almost been cancelled last year (hence the in-show mentioning of the Buy More potentially closing and the obvious but funny Subway product placement. So they had to get rid of characters that were not that vital to the show. I think Jeff and Lester escaped that fate due to being Jeffster. But if you look closely this season you'll notice that almost every episode certain characters will not be in the episode at all, probably because they've been reduced from season regulars to recurring.

Welcome to my favourite season though. The start might not be the best, but I love this season. It has so many tremendous episodes! I look forward to them all. Hope you feel better soon, Steven.
